#DisabilityCounts2020 Part 3 (ASL)

Deaf and Disabled Folks On Accessibility and the 2020 Census.

If you think people with disabilities count, SIGN THE PLEDGE to complete YOUR 2020 Census!

Do you think people with disabilities count? Then we need to make sure we’re counted as part of the 2020 Census.

Not participating in the Census means less funding in our communities. That’s why Rooted in Rights partnered with DREDF to produce a series of videos to mobilize the disability community and make sure that our needs are counted.

Do you have questions about why the Census matters? Privacy concerns? Or questions about how the 2020 Census will be accessible for people with disabilities?

Watch to learn more in English, Spanish, or ASL, then sign our pledge to complete the 2020 Census yourself.

And if you’re interested in working with Disability Rights Washington to educate disabled people in your community about why the census matters, let us know at info@rootedinrights.org. We are hiring census ambassadors throughout Washington to work with us to make sure we all count!

Rooted in Rights exists to amplify the perspectives of the disability community. Blog posts and storyteller videos that we publish and content we re-share on social media do not necessarily reflect the opinions or values of Rooted in Rights nor indicate an endorsement of a program or service by Rooted in Rights. We respect and aim to reflect the diversity of opinions and experiences of the disability community. Rooted in Rights seeks to highlight discussions, not direct them. Learn more about Rooted In Rights
