- On February 12th, the US government announced nearly 100 million dollars in grants for 13 state housing agencies.
The funding will be used to provide housing for extremely low-income people with disabilities.
The funds are part of a new, comprehensive housing measure passed by Congress in 2010.
These new projects will allow thousands of people with disabilities to leave institutions and live in the community.
