Nevada teachers arrested following abuse allegations

Four teachers at an elementary school in Nye County, Nevada were arrested Nov. 23 for abusing children in special education classes.

The teachers were accused of “spankings,” “flicking,” “pushing,” “slapping,” “violent shaking” and “grabbing,” according to an article in the Las Vegas Sun.

The four children cited in the complaint are between ages five and seven.

The principal at the school of the incidents allegedly never handled the situations despite being told about them repeatedly, even saying “the circumstances” were normal given that they were in special education classes, according to the article.
