Family blames police for the death of young man with schizophrenia

The family of 18-year-old Keith Vidal of Boiling Springs Lakes, North Carolina called the police department for help getting their son to treatment when he was going through a schizophrenic episode earlier this January.

However, upon the arrival of the three police officers who responded to the call, all from different police departments, the incident ended with Keith Vidal dead, shot by one of the police officers.

Stated Keith’s step-father, “We called for help, and they killed my son.”
