A bill called the Achieving a Better Life Experience Act (ABLE) has again been introduced to Congress. It was first introduced in 2009 and has been frequently since. In a letter, The Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities urged Congress to pass the bill, which now has the support of nearly 40 disability and civil rights organizations. The bill proposes to create tax-free savings accounts for individuals and families for disability related expenses, like education, housing, transportation, health care, etc.
