As their mission states “We Connect Now is dedicated to uniting people interested in rights and issues affecting people with disabilities, with particular emphasis on college students and access to higher education and employment issues.”  Their goal is to help college students with disabilities succeed to their highest degree.

We Connect Now can be found on their website, Facebook and Twitter.  The website includes information on their chapters, people sharing their personal stories, their focus for the month, a page about blogs, upcoming events, news, links, and information about disability rights related laws.

As a college student with disabilities, I know firsthand the struggle to navigate and keep up with the college, work and extracurricular experiences.   The bumps in the road can often turn into road blocks when faced with the limitations of one’s disability or disabilities.  I persevere through each struggle by grasping on to the support systems that help guide me on my journey.  We Connect Now appears to be an exemplary support system for this cause.  All I have ever wanted is to have the opportunity to achieve my goals by utilizing my full potential.

We  Connect Now is an everyday resource and tool that can help make this happen.  I am in the process of bringing a chapter to my university.  The information on how to start a chapter is provided on the We Connect Now website under the Chapters tab.
