ADAPT is a national grassroots community that organizes disability rights activists to engage in nonviolent direct action, including civil disobedience, to assure the civil and human rights of people with disabilities to live in freedom.
During the most recent direct action, to demand expanded home and community-based services, 53 ADAPT activists were arrested in a march on the White House in Washington, D.C.

The ADAPT Community wants to assist you in your advocacy to make your local community as accessible and institution free as possible. Community organizing is the way to make a difference! All applications must be submitted by individuals who are committed to bringing about social change.
